I headed out again to do some more spring catfishing.
I’ve been patiently awaiting the shallow water blue catfish bite to really fire up. I was expecting some epic fishing but then we had some massive storms roll in and missed the early morning bite while we rode out the lighting, rain and high wind at the marina.
Once the storms finally past we started fishing but were struggling to catch fish, they’d moved and were not where I expected.
I was really struggling to catch blue catfish (and kept catching channel catfish) and then another big storm rolled in cutting my spring catfishing trip short due to high winds so I decided to make a quick catch and clean video instead since it was too windy to be on the water and gave my new Bubba Blade electric fillet knife a quick test.
Check out the video below and then be sure to check it out and take it all in. For even more in-depth information on catching spring catfish check out my book on Spring Blue Catfish Techniques.
